Love their attitude. Extinction Rebellion is an international movement that uses non-violent civil disobedience to achieve radical change in order to minimise the risk of human extinction and ecological collapse. It's first public moment occurred on Halloween 2018 when it announced its "Declaration of Rebellion" against the UK government in London. Expecting only a couple of hundred, 1500 showed up. In the next few weeks, their numbers grew exponentially and examples of their civil disobedience did too from closing down bridges over the Thames to Super-Glueing themselves to the Buckingham Palace gates. Its double entendre rallying cry "Rebel for Life!" is muy worthy and so is its art.
I wish them, Greta Thunberg, and others like them well. Hopefully politicians will take notice. The New Seminole should have started out this way but we skipped that step and went directly into armed confrontation. If you read my books, you know it didn't work and we were beaten badly. Most of us are dead in the Everglades, scavenged by gators, buzzards, and panthers. The rest are on the run. Me? I'm stuck in the Miccosukee Embassy in Miami doing Sanctuary, waiting for Nokosee to rescue me and our baby girl Haalie from Uncle Sam's wrath.
