I wish I could be this idealistic. Maybe it comes with youth. But I'm only 19 and thoroughly old and jaded after spending nearly a year of my life on the run from Uncle Sam in one skirmish after the other in the Everglades. The last battle at Rendezvous Point finally put the kibosh on any future ideas of me-- and now Hallie-- tangling with the Feds, something I'm trying to convince Nokosee to do. Even when I was 16, I wasn't this... special. I don't know how else to describe this kid. Anyway, sign his petition already. It might not change the world, but it will do a body-- and mind-- good.
You can learn more about Xiuhtezcatl-- boy I use to think Nokosee's dad's name-- Busimanolotome-- was a mouthful, but this kid owns his name-- here. Nokosee thinks X-Man-- sorry, but if I can call my Micco "Busi," this Colorado Native gets the Stormy treatment too-- should play him in a movie. I think Nokosee is losing it. He's been reading my books way too much no matter how many times I tell Nooksie "it isn't about him." It's all gone to his head. X-Man is way too skinny. And nice. Nokosee's got muscles on muscles and, as he likes to remind me, quoting from my first book, "can keel with his leetle finger." Anyway, here's the link to X-Man's petition.
And while you're at it, you can sign this "I Stand With Nature" pledge by The Nature Conservancy.
